George Obama arrested for Marijuana ? Not so fast!

CNN reports “Obama’s half-brother arrested on charge of marijuana possession” but it fails to mention something rather crucial — trumped up marijuana charges have long been the modus operandi of corrupt police in Kenya.

Having spent time studying there, that was one of the first things we were taught by professors ; having been the victim of an unsuccessful scam/con by crooked cops (whereas I was told I would go to jail unless I paid $500US for associating with a known terrorist and having marijuana — neither of which was the least bit true), I learned first hand how widespread it is.

Another fact we learned from locals — Kenyan Police don’t prosecute marijuana possession or growing — they have better things to do , like real crimes or just laying out under a shade with a soda or water. The only people who get prosecuted are the ones that didn’t pay money in a shakedown. Marijuana laws in East Africa are very akin to McCarthyism and blackmail in the US.

George Obama is guilty of being the half-brother to one of the most powerful men in the world. That face isn’t something con-artists can get money from, but fake drug charges are.

Believe what you want, but experience has taught me he’s innocent.
