Gravity's Rainbow - Thomas Pynchon 
To be honest, I'm nowhere near finishing this yet.
But -- I did go to
college with a peculiar fellow who, allegedly, has spent the better part of his post graduate years stalking reclusive authors, finding both Pynchon and Salinger in New
York City and its greater area.
