 the royal tenenbaums

Far more entertaining than either of anderson's previous efforts -- its sole weak point is Ben Stiller. He
just doesn't fit in it.

 existenz

Grouped in there with postmodern mindfucks like the matrix, the 13th floor and other virtual reality based films, existenz
comes out ahead. Its odd and sexual in a way you'd expect from Cronenberg.

 Wet Hot American Summer

A homage to 80s summer camp movies.

Unfortunately, it was done by 'the State' who aren't as
funny or clever as any 80s movie.

My friend Scot made a movie in college called 'The Singsations'. It examined a capella music culture through an 80s movie
framework. I think the writers of WHAS saw his movie -- cos they straight up stole a few scene from it. Except Scot's movie was good.

 The Gift

Billy Bob wrote it, Sam Raimi directed it. Despite the ensemble cast, there was no carryover from Raimi's celebrated
series 'Cleopatra 2525'.

I saw it at 8am and was amused nevertheless.

 Rear Window

Jimmy Stewart's leg is in a cast. He can't do much of anything, save spy on his neighbors. Grace Kelly looks really
hot and even wears lingerie -- but Jimmy Stewart would rather look at his neighbors than her flesh.

Dumbass.

 Amelie

Jeunet never ceases to amaze me. Witty tale of a girl finding a box that changes her life.
