I upgraded MovableType, and lost my blog.

I upgraded MovableType, and lost my blog.

The upgrade from MT3 to MT4 a few months ago completely wiped out the site design. It's been a PITA getting things back and running, as I've been overcommitted on some projects.

I will begin posting stuff again soon, once I've wrangled this system into submission.

Fun things to look forward to:
- I'll *finally* post the IdentityResearch "Who owns Social Media" document.
- An in-depth look at why MovableType and Wordpress both suck ass.
- A howto guide on making MovableType and Wordpress suck a little bit less - but they still both suck ass.

After evaluating and auditing MovableType, Wordpress, ExpressionEngine, and about 10 other publishing platforms over the past 2 months - to solve my issues and some 'enterprise' stuff I've been working on - I've come to this conclusion: How the fuck are these programs so popular?

MovableType and Wordpress remind me of the tagline to "Alien vs. Predator" - Whoever wines... We lose. Both have such large weaknesses.

Is there any good Blog software out there? Wordpress is a JOKE - no PG and the source is scary. MovableType has an awful interface. EE=Beta.

Upgrading

I decided to upgrade the MT install to 4.2 ( from 4.01 ). Since the theme was migrated from 3.x , a lot of things broke. I hope to have a blog again one day soon.
